Sonnet assignments and more!

I keep using stupid exclamation points in these blog posts.  Sorry😢

The entire list of sonnets for the English I Honors crew can be found here.

In class on Wednesday, we are going to do TWO things:

1.  Paraphrase our sonnets.  This means, line by line, put it into our own words.  Yes, you can find this on the internet done for you, but that is NOT the assignment.  YOUR words.  YOUR phrasing. This is important in getting to know your sonnet.

2.  We will complete these questions.

All of this is due on Friday.  Please have it completed by then.

Sonnets! Get your sonnets here!

Like any good newsie, I have the info.

Here is a link to all of Shakespeare's 154 sonnets.

Click around and see what this site offeres--there is plenty of background and info.

You should pick three, or maybe even four, that you find charming, interesting, etc.

Tomorrow, we'll put our names in a hat and draw for our faves.  Then, you will start the task of getting to know your sonnet: )

Can't wait to hear what you've chosen!
